Every small home needs a small Craft Room. A room with a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and maybe a desk for doing work can be perfect for entertaining. Depending on your available space, you may be able to use the room as a small workspace as well. When you think about it, this makes sense: Even if you don’t have a lot of room, what’s the point of having a large Craft Room if you’re only going to use it for a few special occasions?
You can get great inspiration from Pinterest for inspiration, but you’ll quickly run out of your own ideas. Why not create some for yourself, and then be able to shop at a craft supply store, as you have ideas on hand, all the time? A simple way to do this is to use lots of pillows. You can have lots of pillows in different sizes to give a unique look to the room. Or you can try using a variety of textures and colors to create a rich design. For instance, I’ve seen pillows with different color patterns that are great for creating an easy-to-clean pattern.
If you want to maximize storage space, don’t forget to use these pillows as storage space. I like to place one in the corner of the room, next to the TV, to keep my snacks out of sight. The other one I put in the corner as my office chair, and a storage area for all my quilting supplies. These two options allow you to maximize storage, while still being able to entertain and have work space.
